Our bodies and minds fight with us every day to stay safe and cozy no matter what. If we don’t fight this urge we get nowhere. You must get out of your comfort zone to have success. 1 – Face A Fear Every Day

Do something that makes you uncomfortable every day. If you are fearful of being social, go talk to a complete stranger every day. It doesn’t have to be a long conversation. A simple ,”hey how are things going?”  to someone you pass in the grocery store may be all that is necessary.

2 – Read Something Educational Every Day

Knowledge is power. By learning something new every day, you open your mind to new ideas and perspectives.

3 – Change Up Your Daily Routines

Don’t get stuck in the same pattern every day. By switching things up, you may discover a better way to do things.

4 – Try A New Hobby

Engage in a totally new activity.  Sign up for a cooking class, take a photography lesson, or even a dancing class. Try different hobbies often to keep things fresh and exciting.

5 – Say Hi

Another great way to get out of your comfort zone is to say, “hi” to everyone you pass by. Do this at the office, in the store, at the park, on your daily walk. Smile and say hello.

6 – Take A Trip With No Destination In Mind

One weekend, get in your car and just drive somewhere. Sounds scary huh? Don’t make a plan, just choose a direction and drive. Maybe you’ll discover something exciting!

7 – Volunteer

Not only is volunteering great for the community but it’s an excellent way to get out of your comfort zone. If you are not used to volunteering, it forces you to work together with others and helps you see the world from other people’s perspective.

8 – Unplug

Make it a habit to unplug from technology every once in a while. Doing at least an hour a day is beneficial but push yourself to unplug for an entire day. If this means going camping in the woods this weekend, then do it.

9 – Fail On Purpose

Join a contest or get involved in something where the odds are stacked against you. Failing is actually the key to success. Learn from the experience and try to improve the next time.

10 – Teach A Class

Reserve a room at the local library and teach a class. It can be anything that you are interested in. How scary is this? Very scary for most people.
